CICE AT A GLANCE

OUR STORY

WHO WE ARE

Since its founding in 2011, CICE (Centre for International Cooperation in Education) has played an unceasingly fundamental role in actively leading the promotion of quality education in a range of institutions, varying from nurseries, learning centres, universities, corporations, government entities, and over 20 schools in Macau. Its pioneering work has put CICE on a pedestal in the education industry for its innovative leadership in the design, development and enrichment of teaching programs and curricula, through consulting services and equipping educational institutions with trained and qualified native English speakers of diverse backgrounds.

In 2011, CICE became a sole representative of Cambridge University Press & Assessments, working in partnership with the University of Cambridge and carrying out English proficiency exams, namely YLE, KET, PET, FCE, IELTS, TKT and Linguaskill. In 2014, CICE became a partner with National Geographic Learning as a co-author in creating content for local NGL textbooks. In 2017, CICE became a sole distributor of Cambridge University Press books for ESL. In 2018, CICE took on the role as sole representative for Renaissance, a digital platform offering English e-books of a range of genres. In 2020, CICE became a patent holder for THRASS, which develops powerful phonological learning materials for ESL students to further improve and stimulate their capabilities in the English language. In 2022, CICE became both a Pearson Edexcel exam centre for A-Level and GCSE examinations and a registered UCAS centre for university applicants who wish to study in the United Kingdom.

Furthermore, by providing integrated programs with foreign schools and study tours abroad, CICE is a platform and a bridge where language and cultural exchanges between local and foreign educational institutions take place. This has enriched the contact between fellow local and foreign educators and students, ultimately creating a space for both to grow and reach their fullest potential. This language and cultural exchange has also been achieved through Shine Like Stars, CICE’s annual Greater Bay Area youth English proficiency show, where students, whilst showcasing their fluency in delivering speeches in English, discuss the cultural and historical uniqueness of their hometown in China, giving them the opportunity to share their cultural backgrounds with other fellow contestants.

With the support of our partners, CICE is now taking a step further in the world of education, this time, in virtual education, innovating and strengthening the connection between local and foreign teachers and students over the internet, expanding its vision and mission in Greater China.
