Cambridge English Qualifications
Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers and A2 Flyers are three exams produced by Cambridge Assessment English (part of the University of Cambridge). They are part of a range of Cambridge English Qualifications. Each exam builds on the skills children develop at the previous level.

Pre A1 Starters
Pre A1 Starters is the first of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners.
Pre A1 Starters can help your child take their first step towards:
understanding basic English content on the internet
enjoying books, songs, television and films in English
making friends globally.

A1 Movers
A1 Movers is the second of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners.
A1 Movers can help your child:
understand basic instructions or take part in simple conversations
understand basic notices, instructions or information
complete basic forms and write notes, including times, dates and places.

A2 Flyers
A2 Flyers is the third of three Cambridge English Qualifications designed for young learners.
A2 Flyers can help your child:
understand simple written English
communicate in familiar situations
understand and use basic phrases and expressions
interact with English speakers who talk slowly and clearly.
We offer Cambridge English Qualifications:
- Young Learners (YLE) – There are three levels ranging from low to high: Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, and A2 Flyers.

Cambridge English Qualifications
An A2 Key qualification is proof of your ability to use English to communicate in simple situations.
The exam tests all four English language skills – reading, writing, listening and speaking.
It should give you the confidence to go on and study for higher-level exams such as B1 Preliminary and B2 First.
- Key for Schools, B1 Preliminary for Schools, and B2 First for Schools. These exams assess listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, providing a comprehensive evaluation of English proficiency for non-native English speakers.
