In order to take appropriate anti-epidemic measures for candidates applying for the Cambridge English examinations during the period of the novel coronavirus, the Centre hereby makes the following statement:

With the consideration of the latest arrangements of the Macao Government, starting at 6 am on 16 January 2022, people coming via Macau Border Gate must hold a “negative” nucleic acid test result within 24 hours. Due to the epidemics in Zhuhai and Zhongshan, there are now more than 17,744 local citizens changed to yellow health code. People coming from part of Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Shenzhen of Guangdong province must undergo a maximum of 14 days after leaving the place, but at least 7 days centralised isolation medical observation at designated locations in accordance with the requirements of the Macau Government. In view of the uncertainty of the local cases, to ensure the safety of students, in order to achieve the government’s epidemic prevention requirements, which prevent the increase in imported cases and reduce the risk of mass gatherings contributing to the spread of COVID-19, the Centre has prudently decided to postpone the Cambridge English Assessment on 21-22 January 2022, the latest assessment will be further announced according to the current situation.

Our main concern are the safety and health of the public and those of the students, parents, staff, and community.

For the latest situation of the epidemic, please refer to the news released by the Health Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government via below website:
